Charity Bike Ride:​ ​

On 14th April 2024 we held our third Charity Reliability Ride in conjunction with Alsager Rotary Club and supported by The Wilbraham Arms and PAU Run & Ride.

The event attracted 90 riders who covered between 20km and 100km depending on their chosen route.  These were members of the Harlequins themselves, other local cycling clubs, as well as members of the local community who just wanted a chance to challenge themselves.

Participants included a number of more senior cyclists in their 70’s and 80’s, one of whom, 88 year old John Preston, also personally raised £300 in sponsorship.

 

Whilst the final total is still to be calculated, it is likely that in excess of £1000 will be donated to the Alsager Food Bank.
